Reparative Probation Program

Are you interested in justice, conflict, communication and strong communities?
Would you like to get involved, meet new people, and help support the practice of restorative justice? Do you have a strong desire to help insure that the needs of crime victims are met and that offenders learn positive ways to avoid
re-offending?

  • The BCJC is looking for volunteers for its Reparative Probation Program
  • This program brings together offenders on probation with a panel of 4-5 community volunteers to discuss the impact of their crime and ways in which they can make fair and reasonable amends
  • Volunteers serve on a panel which meets once/month for two hours
  • Training is free (next training is June 15th & 22nd 2010) 5:30-8:30 each night.
    • The training will include background information, skills, and materials for becoming a volunteer panelist for the Reparative Probation program.
    • Food and refreshments will be provided.
