Mediation Program

Mediators at the Brattleboro Community Justice Center are trained to help people:

identify what needs to be fixed
explore the various possible solutions
evaluate the choices available
choose an outcome that satisfies both parties
make sure the meeting is safe and orderly
be heard and have a chance to speak

We are trained to help with conflicts such as:

Landlord-tenant or tenant-tenant
Co-workers
Police Complaints
Family
Elder-care
Neighbor-to-Neighbor

And more!

In addition, our staff can assist groups in engaging public dialogue and group problem-solving.

These services are free to the community.

Although we currently are without a Coordinator for the Mediation Program, we have a group of trained volunteers whose services are available. Please direct all inquires to Cate Woolner at cate@brattleborocjc.org or (802) 251-8140.
