restorative justice panels

A group of 4-5 trained community volunteers meets monthly with those who have committed or been impacted by crimes such as retail theft, leaving the scene of an accident, or disorderly conduct. The volunteer panel meets with participants 4 times over 4 months, guiding the conversation with the questions: What happened? Who was harmed and how? What needs to happen to make things as right as possible? How can we prevent this from happening again? Volunteer commitment is 2 hours once a month.

Interested in volunteering on a panel? Or have you been referred to a panel?  Contact Jackie Trepanier at 802-258-8945 (cell), 802-257-0361 ext #170 (office) or jackie@brattleborocjc.org.
